Problems

Security Problem
When using client access (or similar products) the user has access to the AS/400's database. If you do nothing specific for security it is very easy to transfer data to the PC or overwrite records on the AS-400.

Different security mechanisms

Object authority: Security can be established for objects by using the OS/400 commands. This approach provides optimum security but it requires a lot of maintenance work. If a user has access to a particular file via the emulation screen he can also transfer the data to the PC.
Exit Programs: OS/400 has had a function called Registration Facility since V3R1.When a server request is started, the registered exit program will also be called. The Califon Systems Security Module is based on exit points.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION on Califon Systems Security CA Module:

It has the capability to block location, type of function, type of command, SQL, etc.
